Our Jungle Wild trip takes you to the dense evergreen forests of East Arunachal; one of the last unexplored frontiers on the tourist map. We set out to uncover the fascinating world of little know tribes, residing in stunning landscapes characterised by dense forests, spectacular snow capped mountains, and gushing rivers.

The Jungle Wild adventure commences in Roing – the gateway to Dibang valley. This valley drained by the Dibang river, a major tributary of Brahmaputra, is a biodiversity hotspot with 6000 plant species, 100 mammal species and about 700 bird species found over here. From Roing we traverse through the flood plains of the Lohit river , another major tributary of the Brahmaputra. Over here we trek up the dense evergreen forests of Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary.

A thirty minute drive from Wakro will get us to the start point of our trek. The initial 45 minutes of the walk skirts along the Kamlnag river , mainly through moist deciduous forests. On crossing the Kamlang river over a long suspension bridge, we will begin our steady climb up towards Glow lake. The five hour climb , though tiring would be very rewarding as you walk through bamboo forests, which slowly give way to tropical evergreen forests, with vistas of dense green mountain slopes all around.
