Located in the Central part of Arunachal Pradesh lies the picturesque valley of Ziro. This place is inhabited by the Apatani tribe, one of the most intelligent and progressive tribes in all of North East. They are renowned through the world for their agricultural practice.

The valley is encrusted by verdant mountains of Blue Pine, bamboos and Silver Fir . These forests are a treasure trove of life with many varieties of mammals, birds, insects and other small forms of life thriving over here. Placated in these hills is the Talle Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most biodiverse and unexplored forest in India .

Day 1: Guwahati to Naharlagan

Pickup from Guwahati airport (participants should reach by 6 pm as we have to catch the 9.20 train) and drive to Guwahati station. After dinner board our overnight train to Naharlagan station . O/n in the train

Day 2: Naharlagan to Ziro                                                             100 kms; 4 hours

Reach Naharlagan station by 5.30 am from where our vehicles will pick us up for our onward drive to Ziro. Relax and refresh once you reach the homestay in Ziro.

After lunch walk around Siiro village, absorbing the tranquility of the place . O/n at homestays in Ziro

Day 3: Ziro

The Ziro valley is one of the most picturesque places in all of Arunachal Pradesh, bearing the appearance of a colorful natural mosaic. This valley is inhabited by the Apatani tribe who are spread across seven large villages. One of the most evolved and intellectual of all tribes, the Apatanis have unique customs and traditions.

We will visit the villages of Hari and Hong , learning about their folklore, culture and agricultural practices of the Apatani tribe. O/n at a homestay in Ziro

Day 4: Ziro to Pange                                                                        9 kms; walk time: 4 hours

A short fifteen minute drive from our homestay gets us to the start point of the trek . From here a broad trail passing through towering temperate forests , climbs up gently . All through the trail you will hear the continuous chirping of birds.

On reaching the campsite , take a refreshing dip in the Pange stream. Later in the evening , head out for a trail walk around Pange. On in Forest guesthouse or tents

Day 5: Pange to Talle Valley                                                     10 kms; Walk time: 6 to 7 hours

A long tough day awaits us today. The initial part of the route is a mix of steep climbs through dense temperate forests, and undulating walks alongside stupendous fern covered walls. In no time you will be absorbed by the tranquility and beauty of the forest , punctuated at irregular intervals by the chirping of birds. The climb continues for around three hours till you reach Lebya Pengo pass (7984 feet), the high point of the trek.

From here the walk becomes more undulating , with a gradual change in the forest from sub temperate to temperate. On reaching the campsite relax and dip your feet in the refreshing waters of the Talle stream. O/n in tents or local stilt house

Day 6: Talley Valle to Pange                                                     10 kms; Walk time: 6 hours

In the morning enjoy the vibrant bird life around the camp and explore some routes around Talle valley. After breakfast start our descent down the same route as yesterday .  Since the descent will be more relaxing, we will better enjoy the amazing forest. O/n at forest guesthouse in Pange.

 Day 7: Pange to Ziro to Naharlagun                                       6 kms; 3 hours walk

Enjoy your last morning in this amazing forest, before commencing your leisurely descent down to Ziro. Drive to your homestays where you will freshen up and have lunch. After lunch drive to Naharlugun station to take your train to Guwahati .

Day 8: Guwahati

Reach Guwahati station by early morning . From here a vehicle will drop you to Guwahati airport . You can take a flight leaving after 8.30 am
